Introduction
Seamly ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our mobile and web applications, including Noggins and Gardenboi.
Our apps have different data practices depending on their features. This policy is organized by app so you can easily find the information relevant to you.
Noggins
Noggins is a charades party game. Core gameplay operates on your device. Noggins does not require an account and does not store gameplay records on Seamly-operated servers.
Data Collection
On Android, Noggins uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand whether the app is working correctly, how players move through the app, and whether ads are being requested and displayed as expected. Analytics events may include app launches, screen views, category selections, game start and completion events, results screen views, ad request/load/failure/impression events, consent status, gameplay counts, game duration, app and device information, Firebase app-instance identifiers, Android advertising identifiers where available and permitted, and general location inferred from IP address. These analytics events do not include your name, email address, contact information, or the words shown during gameplay.
We use this information for app analytics, troubleshooting, app improvement, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and, where applicable, measuring the effectiveness of app install campaigns. Google processes Firebase Analytics information in accordance with its own privacy practices and applicable settings.
Category Suggestions
Noggins includes an optional "Suggest a Category" form. When you submit a suggestion, the text you enter (category name, description, and sample words) is sent to the developer via Formspree (Formspree Privacy Policy) and forwarded by email. Submissions are anonymous — no identifying information is collected, and the form does not require an email address.
Advertising
Noggins displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. We currently configure Noggins ad requests for non-personalized ads. This means ads are not selected based on your personal interests, browsing history, or a profile of your activity across apps and websites.
Google AdMob may process information from your device or app session to provide, limit, measure, and protect ads. This may include IP address, general location inferred from IP address, device and app information, advertising identifiers or other identifiers where available and permitted, consent signals, and ad interaction information. Google may use this information for purposes such as ad delivery, contextual ad selection, frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention, security, debugging, and legal compliance.
On iOS, Noggins uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before allowing AdMob to access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). If you grant tracking permission, the IDFA may be made available to Google AdMob for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related advertising purposes. If you decline tracking permission, ads may still be requested, but the Google Mobile Ads SDK does not send the IDFA in the ad request.
In regions where consent is required, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Noggins uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage consent before requesting ads when required. If privacy choices are required for your region, Noggins provides a "Privacy choices" option in the app so you can review or update your choices.
For Noggins ads:
- Ads are not targeted based on your personal information or browsing history
- Ad selection may use contextual information such as the app content and general location
- AdMob may receive technical, device, consent, and ad interaction information as described above
- Persistent identifiers are not used by Seamly to personalize ads

Gardenboi
Gardenboi is a garden planning app with social features. It requires an account and stores data on our servers to provide its functionality.
Account Information
When you create a Gardenboi account, we collect and store:
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
- Display name — chosen by you, visible to your garden buddies
- Bio — optional, visible to your garden buddies
Location Data
Gardenboi requests location access (with your permission) to determine your USDA hardiness zone and estimated frost dates. Location data is:
- Collected only when you explicitly initiate a zone lookup
- Used to calculate your hardiness zone and frost dates
- Not stored on our servers — only the resulting zone and frost dates are saved with your garden
User Content
When you use Gardenboi's features, we store the following on our servers:
- Gardens — garden names, plants, planting schedules, and notes
- Posts — text updates you share with your buddies
- Images — photos you upload with posts, stored on Cloudflare R2 cloud storage
- Comments and reactions — your interactions on buddies' posts
- Buddy connections — your list of garden buddies (mutual connections only)
How Your Data Is Shared
Your Gardenboi content is shared only with your approved garden buddies. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your gardens, posts, and profile are not publicly visible — they are only accessible to users you have accepted as buddies.
Advertising
Gardenboi does not display any advertisements.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your account data and content are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your Gardenboi account directly in the app, use our account deletion page, or contact us at support@seamly.ca. Upon deletion, we remove your account, profile, posts, images, comments, reactions, and buddy connections.
In-App Purchases
Some of our apps may offer in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are processed by the relevant app store platform, such as Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information. The platform provider handles payment processing in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Third-Party Services
Our apps use the following third-party services:
- Apple, Inc. — App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing
- Google LLC — Google Play distribution and in-app purchase processing
- Google Analytics for Firebase — App analytics, troubleshooting, ad measurement, and campaign measurement for Noggins
- Google AdMob — Non-personalized advertising in Noggins
- Formspree — Forwards anonymous category suggestions submitted from Noggins to the developer (Formspree Privacy Policy)
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting for Gardenboi (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare — Image storage for Gardenboi (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
Children's Privacy
Noggins is not directed to children under 13. Seamly does not knowingly collect personal data from children through Noggins. The optional category suggestion form is anonymous and does not request identifying information.
Gardenboi requires an account and is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will take steps to delete the account and associated data.
Your Rights
For Noggins gameplay, Seamly does not maintain an account or gameplay records to access, modify, or delete. Analytics and advertising data may be associated with app or device identifiers rather than an account. You can manage iOS app tracking permission in iOS privacy settings, reset or delete your Android advertising ID in Android privacy settings, and contact us at support@seamly.ca with privacy requests. If you submitted a category suggestion and want it removed, contact us at the same address. If privacy choices are required in your region, you can review or update ad consent choices from the in-app "Privacy choices" option.
For Gardenboi, you may:
- Update your display name and bio at any time within the app
- Delete your posts, comments, and garden data within the app
- Delete your account in the app or through the Gardenboi account deletion page
- Request full account deletion by contacting support@seamly.ca
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
